Our Services

Six kinds of help, mixed and matched to one household. Most families start with two or three and adjust as things change.

01

Personal Care

The everyday things that get harder first. Our caregivers help with them in a way that protects privacy and dignity — never rushing, never making anyone feel like a task on a list.

What’s included

  • Bathing, showering and personal hygiene
  • Dressing and grooming
  • Help getting up, moving safely, and repositioning
  • Toileting and continence support
  • Medication reminders
  • Standing by for safety during daily routines
02

Companionship

Isolation does real damage, and it’s the need families most often underestimate. A consistent caregiver who actually knows someone — their stories, their routines, what they like to talk about — changes how a day feels.

What’s included

  • Conversation and genuine company
  • Shared activities, hobbies and games
  • Walks and time outdoors
  • Help staying in touch with family
  • Encouragement to stay active and engaged
  • A familiar face on a consistent schedule
03

Nutrition Support

Eating well is one of the first things to slip when someone is managing alone. We plan and cook around real dietary needs — and around what they actually like, because food nobody wants to eat doesn’t help anyone.

What’s included

  • Meal planning around dietary needs and preferences
  • Grocery shopping and putting things away
  • Cooking fresh meals and preparing meals ahead
  • Encouraging regular eating and fluids
  • Kitchen cleanup and safe food storage
  • Company at mealtimes
04

Home Support

A cluttered floor is a fall risk, and a fall is often the event that ends independent living. Keeping the home orderly is care, not housekeeping.

What’s included

  • Light housekeeping and tidying
  • Laundry, bed linens and ironing
  • Dishes and kitchen cleanup
  • Keeping walkways clear and safe
  • Taking out rubbish and recycling
  • Organising mail and everyday paperwork
05

Transportation

Giving up driving shrinks a life fast. Reliable transport is often the difference between staying part of the world and slowly withdrawing from it.

What’s included

  • Rides to medical and dental appointments
  • Accompaniment into the appointment
  • Grocery shopping and errands
  • Pharmacy pickups
  • Religious services and community activities
  • Visits with friends and family
06

Respite Care

Family caregivers burn out, and when they do, everything collapses at once. Taking regular time off isn’t a luxury — it’s what makes caring at home sustainable.

What’s included

  • Scheduled regular breaks — a few hours or full days
  • Cover for holidays and time away
  • Short-notice cover when something comes up
  • Overnight care
  • Full handover so nothing is missed
  • Support after a hospital discharge

Scheduling

Care that only works on a fixed weekly grid isn’t much use to a real household. We build the schedule around what’s actually happening.

  • Hourly visits, full days, overnight, or live-in
  • Weekends and holidays included — we do not close
  • Nights and short notice: call us, a real person answers
  • Schedules reviewed and adjusted as needs change
Hourly

Set visits through the week — a few hours a day, or a few days a week. Best when someone is mostly independent and needs help at specific moments.

Live-In

A caregiver in the home around the clock. For advanced needs, high fall risk, or when a family simply can’t leave someone alone overnight.

Hybrid

A mix — hourly most of the week, live-in cover for nights, weekends, or while family is away. Most households end up here.

What care costs

Every household needs something different, so there is no single price. What we can promise is that you will know the exact number before you commit to anything.

Hourly

Set visits through the week. Billed by the hour, for the hours you actually use.

Overnight

Awake or sleeping cover through the night, billed per night.

Live-In

A caregiver in the home around the clock, billed per day.

At your free in-home assessment we go through the numbers plainly and put them in writing — no pressure, no obligation, and no charge for the visit itself.

Call 626-484-0807 and we will talk you through what your situation would cost. A real person answers, 24 hours a day.

Emunah provides non-medical home care. We do not provide skilled nursing, wound care, or medication administration — if that’s what’s needed, tell us and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Not sure which of these you need?

That’s normal. Tell us what a difficult day looks like and we’ll work out the rest together.

We answer every request within 24 hours.
